This artwork was inspired by the resilience, beauty and balance of nature in the desert. The smallest of creatures deserve our reverence and understanding. The lizard and the tarantula sit on either shoulder of the woman crowned by cactus- she is the spirit of the desert embodied in a female form. She reminds us to respect and revere the desert and its creatures and to appreciate their role in the natural world.
